A Tale of Two Twins

A Tale of Two Twins

A storybook tells the incredible tale of a pair of identical twins who, after one of them embarked on an intergalactic journey at the speed of light, have aged at vastly different rates. Intrigued by the conundrum, the two narrators invite the audience to a lively chat on special relativity - the culprit behind Einstein’s famous Twin Paradox.

Animated short in cut-out stop-motion. Final project for VES 54s Animating Science, Spring 2010.

A story book unfolds the incredible tale of a pair of identical twins who, after one of them embarking on an intergalactic journey at near the speed of light, age at vastly different rates. Intrigued by the seemingly impossible situation, the narrators invite the audience into a lively chat on special relativity concepts, such as time dilation and nonequivalent reference frames, that are the culprits behind Einstein’s famous Twin Paradox.
